Differential wheel sensors with potential output (sensor type DPD-01)
Family of wheel sensors of type DPD-01 is presented by sensors DPD-01-02, DPD?01-03.
The output signal is a bidirectional voltage pulse (two half-waves with alternating polarity). The change of voltage polarity occurs at the moment when the wheels axis passes above the sensor center. The alternation order of half-wave polarities is determined by the vehicle direction. The sensor output signal amplitude and sensitivity area is independent on the vehicle velocity. Sensors provide automatic setting of the zero level output signal to compensate the external influences. The minimum velocity, registered by sensors, is 1 km/h.
The minimum distance between geometrical centers of sensors of the same type (with equal frequencies of oscillatory circuits) is 50 cm. Minimal distance between sensors of different type (with different frequencies of oscillatory circuits) is limited only by sizes of sensors and claws (possible down to 20-25 cm).
Taking into account signal distortion and noise, induced in the informative cable, its length measured from the sensor terminals to the external signal processing devices must not exceed 50 m.
The sensor does not require the frequent additional maintenance operations.
