Wheel sensors with the separate outputs (sensors type DPD-03)
Family of wheel sensors of type DPD-03 is presented by sensors DPD-03-01, DPD?03-02 (output signal is a voltage pulse); DPD-03-03, DPD-03-04 (output signal is a current pulse at the load resistance not less than, 500 Ohm).
The wheel sensor with the separate outputs of the two sensing elements allows for remote control of sensors position in relation to the rail, including the cases of falling on the rail, as well as control the integrity of the sensor circle power supply.
The wheel sensor output signals are shown on the Figure
where:
Range 1
] ? 18 mА, (U? 9 V) – The wheel sensor is not located on the rail.
Range 2
14 mА ? ] ? 17 mА, (7 V ? U ? 8,5 V) – The wheel sensor mounted on the rail according to the assembly drawing. The wheel in sensor sensitivity zone is absent.
Range 3
2 mА ? ] ? 11 mА, (1 V ? U ? 5,5 V) – The wheel sensor is mounted on the rail according to the assembly drawing. The wheel is moving within the sensor sensitivity zone.
Advisable threshold for the devices, detecting the passage of the wheel center of the moving unit with respect to the wheel sensor – within 12 мА…13 мА, (6 В…6,5 В). Threshold value can be set by user independently.
Range 4
] ? 1,0 mА, (U?2 V) – Cable or sensor elements are broken.
Mutual position sensor signals to the outputs of ]1,]2 (U1, U2) while passing train in the direction of the first sensor element to the second shown in Figure
