Wheel sensors with two type output signal (sensor type DPD-02)

Wheel sensors with two type output signal
(sensor type DPD-02)

Family of wheel sensors of type DPD-02 is presented by sensors: DPD-02, DPD?02?01

The wheel sensor of type DPD-02 has two outputs:
The first output is a source of current. Signal is a current pulse in the sensor power supply circle, formed at the moment when the wheels axis passes above the sensor center.
The second output is a source of voltage. Signal is a bidirectional voltage pulse (two half-waves with alternating polarity). The change of voltage polarity occurs at the moment when the wheels axis passes above the sensor center. The alternation order of half-wave polarities is determined by the vehicle direction.

A three-wire screened cable is used inside the sensor. Two wires of the cable are used for the voltage supply. The consumption current of the wire, connected to the positive clamps of the power supply: 0,1±0,03А.  The current consumption by the output-pulse regime: 0,01±0,002А. The pulse rise-up portion corresponds to the moment when the wheel's axis passes above the sensor center. The third cable is the output 2 (additional output).

A current output of the power supply circuitry allows for using the informative cable, of up to 1 km length, between the sensor clamps and measuring equipment.

The additional (second) sensor output allows for using the informative cable of maximal length not exceeding 50 m, between the sensor clamps and measuring equipment.
